Each angle of expression is an open door to the individual’s freedom of reflection, listening to oneself and others as well as to action: Whether it's singing, recognizing sounds, clapping hands, creating or deciphering a score, or expressing oneself through drawing or body language.

Music has a universal character, the language of which gives birth to an art and for which learning is understood just like a mother tongue.

The "INSIEME" Center's primary mission is to serve people in all facets of the person by working in both the musical and scientific fields.

Our values ​​are:

• To strengthen the self-confidence of the individual by:

• Helping him discover his unexplored abilities
• Developing his personality in all its aspects
• Releasing him from restrictions that prevent him from developing
• Helping him to widen the communication bridges with others
• Pushing him to express himself without censorship, by various means of sensory and artistic expression, whether by singing or playing an instrument or even by dancing, theater, photography or drawing.  Without imposing constraints in the development and form of communication.

• Address physical, psychological and intellectual blockages through these multi-artistic demonstrations.
• Restore hope and Joy in the life of the person by helping him to set goals and achieve them.
• Relieve and support families in order to create a united harmony of acceptance and understanding of each person's specific needs in daily life.
• Work in coordination with official institutions and private or public bodies to help the integration of each person in society, whether in Lebanon or across the borders.
• To encourage all components of society to recognize the value, integrity and dignity of a person, regardless of their identity, reality and possibilities; especially for atypical people made vulnerable.

INSIEME applies the “EUTERPE” method

 Born in 2000 with Mo Tommaso LIUZZI, it is defined as a therapeutic artistic-musical psycho pedagogy.  The use of sound by multi-sensory stimulation develops the well-being and psychophysiological balance towards a process of autonomy, personal fulfillment and social inclusion. It is addressed to any individual without discrimination, to develop the capacities of integration and acceptance.

The support structure, which is the philosophical incipient of the Method, consists of the application principle, which potentially consists of applying the same principle for any person who can manage his emotions, if he is correctly stimulated, independent of the various difficulties or discomforts.

This methodology is therefore not only a unique music therapy, but an "active" musical psych pedagogy, aimed at creating a relational osmosis with the patient, who is then a student. The rupture and the reversal of roles can be achieved by (and thanks to) the exchange of energies and resources between the student (the patient) and the teacher.  EUTERPE is an innovation which uses a mathematical table and a particular procedure, in order to compose a different sound path for each person and each objective.

During a lesson or a therapy, the interchangeability and the reversal of roles provoke the patient's dis-inhibition which is at the origin of the creation of new interventions which can be used by the teacher as a teaching tool. It is therefore important that the Euterpe Professor has an emotional intelligence that enables him to empathize with the patient.

The aim of the Euterpe teacher is to highlight our "latent artistic laboratory", which can only be done by stimulating free expression by breaking down each type of barrier: mainly coming from anchored social archetypes.

Therapeutic goals will include:

• SOCIAL AREA: Fight against isolation and loneliness.
• EFFECTIVE-EMOTIONAL ZONE: Relief of Depression, anxiety, anger, fears and frustrations.
• COGNITIVE ZONE: Prevention of complications, neurological deficits, disorientation and confusions.
• ORGANIC AND SPIRITUAL SPACE: reducing pain.

OFFICIALLY

EUTERPE is formalized in Lebanon by the signing of an agreement between the Association "INSIEME" represented by Father Maroun HARB and the creator and founder of this Method. Maestro Pr. Tommaso LIUZZI and recognized by the Lebanese Government RC # 1067/2018.

 In Lebanon, as in Italy and Iran, Euterpe has obtained certified results in various fields such as medicine (psycho-oncology, degenerative diseases, drug addiction, autism spectrum, Down's syndrome...), pedagogy and education.

 The Association Insieme organizes Seminars, participates in interventions and conferences and continuously launches Training sessions for Musicians, Psychologists, Educators and Health Professionals.

OUR ACTIVITIES

The application of this method follows three macro-domains:

• Training and Research:
  • for teachers in schools and kindergartens
  • master classes at the Conservatorium of music  
  • for Health Personnel
  • for Academics in Psychology, Music, Education and Physiotherapy,  
  • for Families
  • for the permanent research team

• Activities:
  • Activity of SiMS, that is to say, a therapeutic laboratory by sound in multisensory stimulation and in osmosis with a special environment.
  • Organize sensory activities in schools and nurseries
  • Provide individual or group therapy sessions for people with specific needs
  • Provide therapy sessions in hospitals, retirement homes, rehabilitation centers for drug addicts.

In January 2019, the Euterpe method “Sound in Multisensory Stimulation” was recognized by UNESCO with a special prize for innovation, on the occasion of the eleventh edition of the International Fair for innovation, Middle East, in Kuwait City.
